Maura McLaughlin started radio astronomy research
Hometown: Morgantown, West Virginia
I’m an assistant professor of physics at WVU. Along with my husband, Duncan Lorimer, who also is a professor of physics, I helped to discover the first-known double pulsar, some 2,000 light-years from Earth. We hope to involve undergraduates in our research programs.
