Duncan Lorimer started searching for new pulsars
Hometown: Morgantown, West Virginia
I’m an assistant professor of physics at WVU. Along with my wife, Maura McLaughlin, who also is a professor of physics, I helped to discover the first-known double pulsar, some 2,000 light-years from Earth. We’re searching for new pulsars and starting a new radio astronomy research program here.
